![]() ![]() The server address can be specified on the 'Network' subtab of the 'Configuration' tab on the client. This means the dongle driver will need to be installed on the client as well as the server machine. CVE-2021-41057 has been assigned to this vulnerability. ![]() This could result in overwriting of essential files or a crash of the CodeMeter Runtime Server. If the server and client are on different networks or different subnets, it may be necessary to specify the server address to the CodeMeter WebAdmin on the client machine. A local attacker using the Microsoft Windows OS could cause CodeMeter Runtime to improperly control file access permissions by setting up a link to a special system file used with CmDongles. This will make the dongle accessible over the network. Check the box next to 'Run Network Server' and click 'Apply'. Select the 'Configuration' tab and then the 'Server' subtab. Select the dongle to be configured and click "WebAdmin" in the lower right corner to open the administration panel. On Mac OS X it can be found at "Applications/CodeMeter/CodeMeter Control Center". ![]() On Linux, it can be accessed at "/usr/bin/CodeMeterCC". On Windows it can be accessed in the Start menu under "All Programs > CodeMeter" (or in the file system at "C:\Program Files (x86)\CodeMeter\Runtime\bin\CodeMeterCC.exe"). This is done using the vendor's "CodeMeter Control Center". If you wish to use your Wibu dongle in network mode, it will have to be configured to allow access from the network. ![]()
